As an operator, you will play a critical role in the core manufacturing process, ensuring vitamins and tablets are manufactured to precise client specifications and strict regulatory standards. You will be responsible for machine setups, reading and comprehension of batch instructions, monitoring quality, and maintaining a pristine production environment as per required TGA/manufacturing standards.
Successful applicants should have:
- The availability work 5 days a week consistently
- Previous Pharmaceutical or food manufacturing experience
- Proven experience in machine operation
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to closely follow complex written instructions
- The capability to manually handle products up to 20kg
- The confidence and ability to work unsupervised when needed
- All required PPE – including steel capped boots and high visibility clothing
- A valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting all OH&S regulations

Skills Required
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Transport Allocator will be responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant allocation of our transport fleet while ensuring exceptional customer service and operational performance. Your duties include:
- Coordinate and allocate daily transport runs to maximise fleet utilisation and customer service outcomes.
- Monitor fleet movements and respond quickly to operational changes, delays and service issues.
- Support and communicate with drivers throughout the day, providing guidance and resolving operational challenges.
- Manage driver rosters, leave planning and daily workforce coverage.
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), HVNL, fatigue management and load restraint requirements.
- Maintain accurate transport, compliance, training and fleet records.
- Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to coordinate service requirements and resolve enquiries.
- Assist with fleet maintenance scheduling and asset management activities.
- Investigate and report on service exceptions, missed collections and operational performance.
- Champion a strong safety culture by promoting compliance, accountability and continuous improvement.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in transport allocation, dispatch, scheduling, or fleet coordination.
- Experience within waste, recycling, scrap metal or transport related industries.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with drivers, customers and stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Sound computer skills, including fleet management systems, GPS platforms and Microsoft Office.

We’re looking for experienced day & afternoon shift Counterbalance forklift operators to work in our busy production recycling facility located in Somerton. You’ll help our production lines run smoothly, support your colleagues, and make a real impact on how we work – all while being part of a friendly, safety-first team.

Day shift 6am-2pm
Afternoon Shift 2pm-10pm
Night shift 10pm-6am
What You’ll Do
- Operate a Counterbalance Forklift to move raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and waste around the site.
- Keep production lines flowing by ensuring materials are in the right place at the right time
- Work alongside the production team to support equipment and processes
- Communicate openly with supervisors and colleagues to keep operations smooth and safe
- Pitch in on other operational tasks as needed – no two days are the same!
- Jump off forklift and help clean up and sweep and pick up rubbish and plastic bottles.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid LF Forklift Licence (essential)
- Experience with grab attachments
- Forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment (preferred)
- Confidence working in a busy, fast-moving environment
- Good communication and team skills
- Willing to work in a noisy and dirty environment
- Physically capable and ready to get involved in all other duties, including general cleaning, picking up rubbish.
- Must adhere to full PPE, hard hats, boots, glasses and hairnets and hi vis.
