Shift Supervisor – Maintenance & Production

Labourpower Trade are seeking both a Technician & Technical Supervisor to join our clients Operations Team within their State of the art crate washing facility in Forrestfield, WA

Applicants will need to possess technical or mechanical ability and can demonstrate the ability to self-manage, work autonomously and think logically.

About the Role:
Supervisor – Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will directly manage all shift activity as well as lead the facility to achieve output volumes, meet budget & provide management and leadership to the Operators in Safety, Quality & Lean manufacturing.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Directly manage all shift activities including, not limited to safety, cost, efficiency & quality
Leading the team in troubleshooting/problem solving, skill development & performance management
Maintaining shift compliance with operating standards in performance, safety, quality, HACCP & Lean practices
Coordinate mechanical shutdown trade work activities
Lead the shift in development and implementation of areas for improvement
Effectively complete all administrative tasks for the shift (or as assigned)
Providing leadership & mentoring to other team members wherever possible

To be considered for this position, you will possess the following:

High Mechanical/Electrical aptitude
5+ years Previous, Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within the FMCG industry or similar environment with exposure to automation & controls
The ability to trouble shoot, problem solve and operate automated process equipment
High quality verbal and communication skills & the ability to work both within a team and autonomously
Excellent time management skills
Forklift licence – Essential
Engineering or Trade Qualification – Highly advantageous
Lean manufacturing Certificate or Equivalent experience
An ability to lead & motivate your team with a strong commitment to quality
