Mobile Plant Service Technicians

Our client is a leading manufacturer of lift equipment, including aerial lifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers and low-level access lifts.

The available positions will require the carrying out of servicing and repairs to equipment with a focus on elevated work platforms, telehandlers, lighting towers and hydraulic hoses.

Lots of variety in the role, you will be supported by a committed Service Workshop located in Green Fields and a national Technical Support Team with a combined 50+ years’ experience in the industry.

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:

  • Trade qualification – Automotive, Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic
  • Proven experience in Automotive or Heavy Machinery Mechanics and Hydraulic Systems
  • Experience in Elevated Work Platforms or similar highly desirable
  • Valid & currents driver’s licence

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Carry out inspections, servicing and repairs of equipment with a focus on elevating work platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers and make every effort to repair machines on site limiting the need to transport the machines off site
  • Be available to work in the workshop at times when no field service jobs are available
  • Be available to travel including overnight accommodation when requested
  • Responsible for completing all appropriate paperwork and inspection forms required by JLG policy, Australian Standards and customer and/or site requirements
  • Responsible for notifying the Field Service Coordinator if repairs or services can’t be completed during the visit and the reason why
  • Diagnose, service, repair and replace hydraulic hoses on a variety of equipment
  • Generating sales and service leads where possible and collaborating with the team
  • Maintain personal retail labour utilisation rates as per target
  • Be able to contact or visit customer sites to generate additional service work as required and in consultation with the Field Service Coordinator.
  • As a Field Service Technician, you are also required to carry out general duties from time to time as requested by management

Industrial Cleaner x 10 positions

Duties will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Using hi pressure water jet guns
  • Use of hand tools and equipment for cleaning
  • Use of cleaning products, solvents
  • Manual handling, physical work

To be considered for this position you must possess the following:

  • A current car licence & reliable transport
  • Be able to work any day of the week from Monday to Sunday, day, afternoon and night shift
  • A good work attitude and be a team player
  • Have a sound understanding of work place safety
  • Be physically fit and comfortable working in the elements of summer and winter
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol.

Training and Induction Prerequisite’s:

  • An order 43 medical, less than 12 months old or willingness to obtain

These position will be temp to perm for the right person. Pay rate starts at $34 per hour. Average hours are 20-55 per week.
