The Role:

  • Day Shift – 6am-3pm
  • Loading freight for delivery

Labourpower is currently recruiting for 10 experienced machine operators to join a National Food Manufacturing plant in Taren Point. This is an ongoing opportunity working in a fast-paced food production environment. The role will involve operating and monitoring production machinery, along with packaging and generally production duties.

AVAILABLE SHIFTS

Afternoon: 3:30pm – 11:30pm

Night: 11:30pm-7:30pm

To be successful for this role you will need:

  • Previous machine operating experience, preferably within manufacturing or food production
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred, but not essential
  • Experience in production and fast-paced physical environments

Day shift: 8:30am-4/5pm – Daily

Labourpower is currently seeking two reliable and experienced Warehouse Operators for immediate casual positions with a well-established client based near Melbourne Airport. This role is mainly focused on MHE (Materials Handling Equipment) work, with flexibility to assist across the warehouse as needed.

Resposibilites:

  • Operate MHE equipment, including high reach forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required.
  • Safely move pallets and stock throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload pallets from racking and designated storage areas.
  • Perform put-away, replenishment and stock movements.
  • Use RF scanners to accurately record stock movements.
  • Assist with picking, packing and dispatch activities.
  • Complete daily equipment safety checks.
  • Follow warehouse procedures, traffic management plans and WHS requirements.
  • Maintain accurate stock handling and inventory movements.
  • Keep work areas clean, safe and organised.
  • Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties when required.

Requirements

  • Current LF Forklift Licence highly desirable.
  • Previous experience operating MHE in a warehouse or distribution centre.
  • High Reach forklift experience preferred.
  • RF scanning experience.
  • Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling when required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable transport to Tullamarine.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a counterbalance forklift throughout the warehouse and production areas
  • Load and unload trucks and containers
  • Move raw materials, finished products, pallets and packaging throughout the site

  • Remove and relocate finished goods from production

About the role: Meat Production/Knife Hand is responsible for the safe and efficient preparation, trimming, cutting, and processing of raw meat products used in the production of premium pet food. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be able to work in cold environment.

To be successful:

Full-time availability (Monday – Friday, 38+ hours per week) – No part-time positions

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut, trim, portion, and prepare raw meat products according to production specifications.
  • Operate knives and cutting equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ensure products meet quality and weight requirements.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times.
  • Dispose of waste materials in accordance with site procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with production and packing teams to meet daily production targets.
  • Conduct equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance issues.
  • Comply with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear and maintain required PPE including cut-resistant gloves, aprons, hairnets, and safety footwear.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience as a Knife Hand, Butcher, Meat Processor, or Food Production Worker is highly regarded.
  • Experience working with raw meat products preferred.
  • Ability to use knives safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a cold environment and stand for extended periods.
  • Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling and lifting up to 25kg.
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and excellent attendance record.
