Overview:

As the Logistics Quality Assurance Coordinator, you are responsible for the managing, planning and coordinating of Logistics Safe Transport Management System (STMS) processes and standards are current and effectively in place. You will be responsible for implementing and/or maintaining of LEAN concepts to optimise and archive Quality KPI, safety and compliance objectives. This includes maintaining Logistics National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (“NHVAS”) and Chain of Responsibility (“CoR”) compliance for Employees, Contractors and Sub-contractors through conducting audits, ensure all processes are compliant with the standards through analytical monitoring and driving effective and sustainable solutions while developing strong business relationships with both external vendors and internal members.

As the Logistics Quality Assurance Coordinator, you are responsible for the managing, planning and coordinating of the Logistics Safe Transport Management System (STMS) processes and standards..

This role demands a high level of administration, understanding CoR and NHVR standards, have high attention to detail, good communication skills and manage outcomes within set time frames.

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is to maintain multiple systems and regularly perform system audits as well as continually promote improvement processes in all areas of Safety (CoR) Compliance & Training.

Quality Systems

  • Maintain currency of STMS documents and communicate updates to the relevant stakeholders
  • Oversee, analyse, and report on Quality data, key issues, compliance gaps and status to identify any trends and implement Quality improvement measures.
  • Interpret, comply with, and develop Quality Assurance Standards.
  • Liaise with BU Managers and delegates to meet their Quality and compliance objectives. Support Quality initiatives and continuous improvement to meet our business customer’s needs.
  • Lead, implement and manage Quality improvements, LEAN initiatives/strategies/activities and best practice within our Business Units and operational areas.
  • Perform Audits, trend analysis, document, and report findings. Manage Quality concerns through process to ensure effective resolution by completion targets.
  • Issue reports/communications in a timely manner to operational management to ensure Quality and Compliance standards are maintained.
  • Continually pursue and implement LEAN and innovative technologies and solutions to meet business and customer needs.

Training

  • Present training via various methods to up skill employees in the areas of processes and systems
  • Identify suitable external training provider(s) to lift business capability
  • Identify and action process training gaps
  • Ensure the use of the VPC Learning System is utilised by all staff as required

Chain of Responsibility Compliance

  • Monitor and report on our internal sites COR Compliance in LSS Cor Safe Dashboard
  • Monitor and report on our Carrier vendors COR Compliance in LSS COR Safe Dashboard
  • Monitor any CoR concerns reported internally or externally, monitor investigation and issue resolution. Maintain communication with the stakeholders.

Risk Management

  • Record, track and investigate Complaints and non-conformance issues.
  • Analyse data to identify areas for improvement in the Safe Transport Management System.
  • Identify training needs and organise training interventions to meet Quality and compliance standards. Ensure the completion of necessary training by all departments/business units.
  • Assure ongoing compliance with Quality and industry regulatory requirements
  • Monitor Infringements, Defect Notices and Notice to Produce. Ensure these are addressed in a timely manner and reported.
  • Monitor all NHVR Permits and ensure their currency and relevance. Communicate all permit updates to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Organising Drug and Alcohol testing at sites and maintaining schedules and records.
