Transport Administration Officer

• $40.00 per hour inclusive of casual loading
• Full time hours Monday to Friday 8.00am-4.30pm
• Netley Location
• Commencing ASAP
• Chep pallet experience an advantage

We are currently seeking an experienced Transport Administrator to support the daily operational needs of a large transport company in Adelaide.

The successful candidate must have prior experience in a similar fast paced environment and a working knowledge of administrative practices and procedures. You will need to effectively apply these skills and demonstrate a firm understanding of data entry techniques and demonstrate a high level of organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for any administration professional to develop skills in a supportive and proactive environment.

Primary Roles and Responsibility

• Collecting information from customers and clients
• Entering data into the central database
• Cataloguing the data with appropriate tags for ease of reference
• Pallet management and co-ordination
• Monitory inventory and reducing costs effiectively
• Maintaining and updating the database system as necessary
• Generating periodic reports
• Evaluating and approving Purchase Orders (PO)s
• Provide general administrative support to the transport team

To be successful you will need to demonstrate:

• Prior data entry experience
• 2IC Chep Pallet experience an advantage
• Ability to effectively apply data entry practices and procedures
• Strong knowledge of MS Office programs
• High level organisation and time management skills
• Be a proactive team member with a dynamic and committed work ethic
