Customer Service Officer

We are seeking a dynamic, self starter to join a busy customer service team in Heathwood. As the Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for the developing effective relationships with the clients national customer base.

Primary Roles and Responsibility

  • Responding to online and phone enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Performing bookings and schedules for staff and delivery drivers
  • Following up on deliveries and ensuring DIFOT is adhered to
  • Assisting Customers with claims relating to damages, breakages and/or incomplete goods
  • Create strong relationships with customers and offering quick and responsive updates
  • Liaise with the warehouse and factory staff in regards to damage claims
  • Document all claims and enquiries into the company database
  • Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times

To be successful you will need to demonstrate:

Sheetmetal CNC Programmer

Duties include but not limited to the following:

PROGRAMMING:

  • Use of CADMAN B Software to program parts for the LVD press break.
  • Create and modify programs for 2 turret punch machines using Radan Software
  • Development of programs for the CNC router using EnRoute software
  • The ability to read G code would be highly regarded.
  • Maintain and update program libraries and templates.
  • Trouble shoot, streamlining processes and improve production efficiency.
  • Working in closely with production staff, management and other key stakeholders

Essentials for this role:

  • A minimum of 5 years consistent experience in programming
  • Experience with EnRoute software for CNC router programming, particularly in fibreglass panel production
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Hands on experience operating punch and break machines, with a sound understanding of production work flows
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A sheet metal trade qualification or similar Trade Qualification or relevant experience in similar role
  • A drivers license and working rights in Australia

Factory Supervisor – Fabrication & Coils Section

About the position

This position will be 70% based on the factory floor, 30% office based, you will be supervising up to 20 direct reports and which are made up of permanent and casual employees. This position is Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, over time as required, some requirement to work across afternoon shift when necessary. This position reports to the Production Manager.

Duties include but not limited to the following:

  • All facets of people management of up to 20 employees, providing clear instructions, training and support, ensuring new employees are provided with support and on the job training.
  • Leading by example whilst on the tools
  • Delivery of production plan to quality standards
  • Ensuring the safety of all employees by conducting toolbox talks, on the job training, hands on with running of machines, tools and equipment.
  • Training of apprentices
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes.

Essentials for this role:

  • A minimum of 2 years consistent experience in a manufacturing supervisory role
  • Be able to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly & fabrication instructions
  • Competent in systems such as Syteline, Skytrust, SAP, MS Office & excel
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent people management skills with a proven track record
  • Ideally you will have a trade qualification in welding, fabrication or similar or experienced with LEAN manufacturing
  • A drivers license and working rights in Australia

About the position

This position will be 90% based on the factory floor, 10 % office based, you will be supervising 3 direct reports and dotted line to 15 employees which are made up of permanent and casual employees. This position is Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, over time as required, some requirement to work across afternoon shift when necessary. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

Duties include but not limited to the following:

  • Managing a small team then overseeing other employees as required, providing clear instructions, training and support, ensuring new employees are provided with support and on the job training.
  • Sound knowledge of fabrication processes
  • Running machines, fabrication work, checking quality of work before sending to next department
  • Ability to read technical drawings and plans
  • Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Be able to multitask
  • Intermediate computer skills ( excel, word )
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes.

Essentials for this role:

  • A minimum of 1 year consistent experience in a manufacturing Leading hand role
  • A mechanical trade qualification EG: Boilermaker, 1st class welder, sheet metal fabrication
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Finance and Administration Officer

The position of Accounts and Administration Officer will provide support to both the Finance Manager/State Accountant and the regional operations stakeholders. This role includes but is not limited to assisting with all month end reporting
functions, budgeting, forecasting and any other ad hoc duties to assist the state accountant. Minimal reception and cash office coverage will also be part of this role in instances where support is needed during leave or absence of
responsible people.

Service Centre Administrator

We are currently seeking an experienced Service Centre Administrator (Power tools) to support the operational needs of a large tool manufacturer.

The successful candidate must have prior experience in a similar fast paced environment and a working knowledge of product servicing and customer support. You will need to effectively apply these skills and demonstrate a firm understanding of process and procedure with warranty and damage claims.

Primary Roles and Responsibility

  • Prompt contact and communication to customers of the FSC regarding repair status.
  • Ensure prompt service for counter inquiries and/ or repairs.
  • Direct incoming calls to appropriate staff when necessary.
  • Coordinating completion of RA’s with accounts & warehouse
  • Processing of all battery/ charger/ torch claims.
  • Basic tool repairs after all other duties are completed.
  • Advising Service Centre Supervisor of potential stock issues and shortages
  • WHS responsibilities can include maintaining a safe system of work in the workplace including correct lifting methods.
  • Complying fully with the Makita (Australia) Occupational Health & Safety Policy Statement.
  • Obeying all relevant safety, health, and environment legislation
  • Duties may be varied from time to time consistent with the employee’s training and skills and such varied duties are to be performed to standards which will be specified as required.

Qualifications and Skills:
