Mechanical Fitter (manufacturing) – Yatala QLD – Permanent Role

This is a working supervisor role that combines strong mechanical and leadership skills. You will be responsible for all mechanical repairs, maintenance, and reliability of production equipment while leading and developing a small technical team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About the Role

• Lead and supervise a small maintenance team
• Perform hands-on mechanical repairs, fault finding, and preventative maintenance
• Minimise downtime and ensure smooth plant operations
• Promote a strong safety culture and best practice standards

About You

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or equivalent (Australian recognised or formally assessed overseas qualification)
• Minimum 5 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience leading or supervising a small team (Leading Hand experience highly regarded)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• SAP experience is advantageous
• Connect/Disconnect (Test & Tag) Licence preferred
• Full Australian work rights
