Labourpower has partnered with one of Australia’s leading recycling and manufacturing companies for an experienced extruder machine operator role.

Job Title: Extrusion Machine Operator (Blow Moulding)

Location: Laverton North, VIC
Employment Type: Casual ongoing work
Pay Rate: $37-$43 per hour (depending on shift)

About Us:
We are a growing plastics manufacturing company specialising in high-quality blow moulded products. With a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and innovation, we are looking for skilled Extrusion Machine Operators to join our production team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion and blow moulding machines
• Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and production efficiency
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Record production data and report any issues to supervisors
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
• Operate forklifts safely for material handling and production support

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating extrusion machinery in a plastics environment
• Hands-on experience with blow moulding processes
• Valid LF (Forklift) licence (essential)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and production plans
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends if required

Shift Information:

• Training will commence on day shift
• Positions available:
  • 1 x Day Shift
  • 1 x Afternoon Shift
