Customer Service Representative – Freight Forwarding
The Company
My client is a Global Freight Forwarder with a standout brand and service across the world. As a leader in the Australasian logistics sector, they are an innovative service provider that embraces collaboration, learning, and development. Due to continuous growth & expansion they are looking to add a Customer Service Specialist to the team based in Eagle Farm. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will work in a team with a strong focus on supporting key accounts, and process & compliance excellence.
The Role
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Act as the key point of contact for customers and overseas partners, providing timely shipment updates
- Handle order entry, shipment tracking, and status reporting through CargoWise
- Prepare and issue accurate quotes, sourcing competitive rates from agents and carriers
- Coordinate closely with customs brokers, airlines, shipping lines, and transport providers to ensure smooth delivery
- Maintain accurate customer and vendor records within internal systems
- Monitor shipments proactively, managing delays or exceptions to keep clients informed
- Build strong client relationships through reliable service and consistent communication
Your Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role in freight forwarding
- Relationship-building skills and strong communication abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail, along with analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Prior experience using CargoWise (CW1) is highly regarded
