About the Role
Labourpower Recruitment Services is seeking a reliable, physically fit and hardworking General Hand with a current LF Forklift Licence
The successful candidate will assist with general production, warehouse and housekeeping duties while supporting the safe movement of materials and products throughout the facility. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable performing manual labour and working in a food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Operate a forklift safely to move raw materials, finished products and pallets. MINIMAL FORKLIFT DUTIES

Load and unload goods, deliveries and trucks as required.

Assist with general production and warehouse duties.

Move, stack and organise products and materials in designated areas.

Assist with bag handling, packing and palletising duties where required.

Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace cleanliness.

Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.

Identify and report hazards, damaged products or equipment.

Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with the team.

Complete manual handling tasks and other duties as directed.
Essential Requirements

Current and valid Australian LF Forklift Licence.

Previous forklift operating experience.

Previous experience in warehousing, manufacturing or general labouring is preferred.

Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling.

Reliable, punctual and committed to workplace safety.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Willingness to work in a flour milling or food manufacturing environment.

Work Environment
The role is based in Picton, may involve working around flour, production machinery, warehouse equipment and moving vehicles. Duties may include repetitive lifting, standing for extended periods and exposure to dusty conditions associated with flour handling.
Must comply with all site-specific PPE, hygiene, safety and operational procedures.

The role
- Long-term ongoing position
- Rotating 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am)
- Roster is 48 hours one week, 36 hours the next (day and night rotation)
- Day shift $41.60 per hour
- Night shift $54.08 per hour (30% loading)
- Weekends form part of the regular roster and are paid at penalty rates
About the work
- Operating plastic manufacturing machinery in a food-grade environment
- Experience with injection moulding, blow moulding or similar plastic moulding machines is highly advantageous
- Supporting production, quality and safe operation of plant
About you
- Experience as a machine operator in plastic manufacturing (food-grade preferred)
- Able to commit to a genuine long-term ongoing role
- Full working rights – not suitable for student visa holders
- Reliable and available for the rotating roster, including weekends when rostered
- Forklift licence with high reach or twin tyne experience highly regarded

The Quality Officer is accountable for ensuring all aspects of the location’s quality management system are adhered to and implemented, which includes consistency of systems, approaches and standards that comply with TGA regulations and other industry standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant legislation governing the company’s business and operations.
- Document steps of the required processes in company controlled procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality assurance, quality control and process operational activities.
- Assist in recording, investigating, resolving and trending quality issues
- Assist in inventory monitoring of critical process consumables, facilitate purchases and execute verification checks and release-for-use of incoming goods.
- Assist in facilitating and partaking in (where duties dictate) site training regimes.
- Assist in hosting internal, external and regulatory audits including formulating responses to deficiencies.
- Receive customer product for processing, perform quality verification checks and complete associated records.
- Initiate pre-programming irradiation recipes.
- Ensure appropriate labelling batches of customer product denoting the disposition.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of the Workplace Health & Safety Policy, procedures and legislation.
- Take reasonable care for own health & safety, as well as that of others.
- Compliance with all relevant safety practices including the reporting of hazards, near misses and incidents through safety system
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in quality function within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, healthcare environment or other highly regulated industry.
- Sound understanding of Quality Management System requirement (preferably ISO9001 and/or ISO13485 and/or other highly regulated industry standard).
- Knowledge and experience in TGA Audits and/or other regulatory bodies.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, often under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Solid level of attention to detail
