Inventory Controller

  • $39.20 per hour casual rate

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Inventory controller to support the day to day operations of a global transport company.

The ideal candidate will have a “can-do” attitude and prove experience in a similar role within the Transport and Logistics industry.

Accountabilities:

  • Racking inventory: Monitoring incoming and outgoing goods, both physically and through records.
  • Overseeing stock storage: Ensuring proper storage conditions and organization within warehouses or distribution centres.
  • Data recording: Accurately recording inventory data in company systems.
  • Discrepancy resolution: Investigating and resolving any discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Logistics management: Coordinating with freight companies for shipments and deliveries.
  • Stock taking: Participating in regular stock counts and audits.
  • System implementation: Developing and implementing new inventory control systems and processes.
  • Staff training: Training warehouse staff on new procedures and policies related to inventory control.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Sound experience with WMS systems in an RF environment
  • Sound experience within the Logistics industry, preferably in a 3PL environment with focus on Inventory management functions
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS Office.
  • Ability to meet the roles responsibilities with minimal supervision

Stocktake Team Members

Labourpower is currently recruiting for Stocktake team members for a two week period, expected to start on 6th May 2025. This is a casual position and may lead to an ongoing opportunity for the right candidate.

This role is based in Lytton

You must have full working rights in Australia and available to work 5 days per week between Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring stock levels are accurate on computer system
  • Manually counting all or part of the store’s inventory
  • Replenishing and tidying stock after the counting period has ended
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday 6am – 1.30pm
  • Flexible to work overtime if requested
  • Forklift or LO license an advantage

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

About the Role
Labourpower are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our client’s production team based in Blacktown. You’ll be responsible for operating and monitoring blow moulding machinery, ensuring safe practices, and maintaining quality standards throughout the packaging process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate blow moulding machinery safely, including start up and shutdown procedures.
  • Perform basic machine corrections as needed.
  • Monitor product quality and quickly address any issues.
  • Report and assist in resolving machine breakdowns.
  • Accurately record production data and downtime events.
  • Manage non-conforming products through separation and rework.
  • Conduct visual inspections during packing processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with Production Managers, Leading Hands, and Quality Control Officers.

About You

  • Experience in blow moulding and/or plastics manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A reliable and punctual work ethic.
  • Willingness to follow direction from supervisors and leading hands.

We are currently seeking an energetic and experienced Freight Forwarding and Cartage Officer to support the day to day operations of our client. This is a casual role and ideal for any candidate who has freight forwarding experience looking to move into administration support and customer service.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of Freight Forwarding and cartage processes, be open to learning and have a high level accuracy with data entry, reporting and spreadsheet creation.

The roles will be responsible but not limited to:

  • Freight Forwarding administrative duties
  • Assist with logistics planning and execution for the international movement
  • Invoicing, reporting, reconciliation and finance support
  • Entering financial data into books, spreadsheets or accountancy software
  • Keeping financial records organised and easy to access
  • Locating or tracking invoices, receipts, purchase orders and other financial records
  • Reconciling accounts at regular intervals (usually once-per-month)
  • Providing financial data or reporting to management for audit purposes
  • Checking for financial irregularities, data entry errors and potential fraud

Required Skills

  • Freight forwarding experience
  • Knowledge of invoicing, purchase orders and accounts preferred but not essential
