Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts (counterbalance and/or high reach) to transport goods (MINIMAL FORKLIFT WORK)
  • Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently
  • Move, stack, and store pallets in racking systems
  • Pick and pack orders in line with dispatch requirements
  • Replenish stock and maintain organised warehouse locations
  • Perform daily pre-start checks and report equipment issues
  • Use RF scanners or warehouse systems to track inventory
  • Follow all WHS (Work Health & Safety) policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

  • Valid Australian forklift licence (LF required; LO advantageous)
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred
  • Ability to safely handle heavy or bulky items
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Basic computer or RF scanning experience
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

    • Keep accurate logs of production, downtime, and quality checks.
    • Load resins, colourants, and raw materials safely and efficiently.

    • Maintain a spotless, safe, and compliant workspace following WHS, HACCP & GMP standards.
    • Support preventative maintenance and routine machine checks.

    Skills & Experience Required

    • Hands-on experience in blow moulding, extrusion blow moulding, or injection blow moulding.
    • Solid understanding of machine operation, tooling, and mould changeovers.
    • Sharp eye for detail-strong quality assurance capabilities.
    • Basic mechanical problem-solving and the ability to fix minor faults fast.
    • Ability to follow production schedules and meet KPI expectations.
    • Reliable communicator and team player with a strong work ethic.
    • Forklift licence is a bonus but not essential.

    We’re looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team at a busy plastic packaging manufacturing facility in Western/Southwest Sydney.

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Electrical maintenance, breakdown response, and preventive maintenance on production equipment
    • Fault finding and repairs on motors, control panels, switchboards, VSDs, and automated systems
    • Electrical isolation, testing, tagging & testing, and commissioning of plant machinery
    • Working on blow moulding, injection moulding, extrusion lines and other plastic packaging equipment
    • Troubleshooting control, instrumentation, and automation systems
    • Helping maintain high plant uptime in a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment

    What we need from you:

    • Current NSW Electrical Licence (or transferable interstate licence)
    • Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician)
    • Current White Card
    • Current CPR / LVR certification
    • Proven experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment
    • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
    • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
    • Own reliable transport + Australian driver’s licence
    • Must be willing to undergo police check, pre-employment medical, and drug & alcohol testing (including random)

    Highly Desirable:

    • Hands-on experience in plastic packaging or plastic manufacturing (blow moulding, injection moulding, extrusion, etc.)
    • Tag & Test experience
