Labourpower has partnered with one of Australia’s leading Freight and Logistics Companies. We currently have an opportunity for Freight Handlers and Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join our teams in Hallam and Dandenong.

Your main responsibilities will include loading and unloading freight, sorting, palletising or stacking into cages as well as general duties around the depot. Experienced Counterbalance Forklift operators will also be responsible for loading and unloading freight from vehicles which will consist of palletised & caged freight.

To be successful for the role you will require the following:

  • A valid Forklift Licence – preferred but not essential
  • Able to commit to on call work
  • An excellent attitude
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Previous freight handling experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Physically fit; capable of bending and lifting consistently
  • Your own reliable transport
  • Own PPE: including steel capped boots
  • Good communication skills

On offer are multiple vacancies across AM and PM shifts with generally a 6-8 hour shift duration. AM shift can start from 4am and PM shift can start from 12:00PM onward.

Forklift Production Worker

Labourpower Recruitment Services is currently seeking an experienced Forklift Production Worker for ongoing shifts with our valued food production client based in Cowra.

This role offers an immediate start and is primarily Day Shift, however flexibility is required as there may be requests to work Night Shift when needed.

Key duties include:
* Manual handling of products up to 25kg on a repetitive basis
* Bagging and boxing of finished goods
* Labelling and shrink wrapping
* Palletising products for dispatch
* Completing general receivable and dispatch documentation

To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A current LF forklift licence (minimum 6 months experience preferred)
* The ability to safely lift 15-25kg of product regularly
* Strong literacy skills to read and follow production orders
* The ability to work both independently and within a small team
* A focus on meeting daily production targets
* A solid understanding of workplace health and safety in a warehouse/production environment
* Availability to work Day Shift with flexibility for Night Shift as required

Process Worker -Food Manufacturing

There roster structure – all staff must work a rotating roster consisting of 3 12hour shift per week of both day and night shift.
