State Account Manager – Manufacturing

About the Role
An opportunity currently exists for a State Account Manager – Industrial based at our Tennyson site in QLD, on a full-time permanent basis. The purpose of this position is to manage both the customer relationship, and key internal relationships (Milling, Quality, Supply, Logistics) to ensuring to meet the customer’s needs whilst maximising our sales and profitability to ensure ongoing sustainable relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively secure new business opportunities with current customers, leveraging existing or new products.
- Manage state accounts to agreed revenue, margin and growth targets.
- Identify opportunities within existing customers; prepare and submit tenders.
- Build practical account plans for Key Accounts in order to secure long term partnerships and contracts with customers.
- Maintain regular customer contact and complete business/quality reviews on time.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Milling and ACCC requirements.
- Own forecasting and reporting (weekly/monthly/quarterly) and support S&OP.
What We’re Looking For:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or similar (desirable).
- Minimum 10 year’s experience in account management and/or sales analysis.
- Food Industry experience is preferred, however not essential, Milling/Ingredients Channel experience would be highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to negotiate, influence, and drive store-level execution.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen with a results-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Excel and sound overall IT capability.
- Self-managed, motivated and energetic.
