High Reach Forklift Operator – Freezer

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate high reach forklifts to pick and put away stock

• Load and unload refrigerated trucks and containers
• Transport palletized meat products throughout the warehouse and cold storage areas
• Conduct pre-start checks and maintain forklift equipment
• Use RF scanners or paper pick slips for inventory control
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory counts, and general warehouse housekeeping

Skills & Experience

• Current and valid LF Forklift Licence (High Reach experience essential)
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience operating high reach forklifts
• Experience working in a cold storage or food/meat warehouse (highly regarded)
• Physically fit and comfortable working in chilled environments (0 to -20°C)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player

Desirable Attributes

• Knowledge of HACCP and food handling standards
• Previous experience in meat processing, butchery, or wholesale distribution

Work Conditions

• Work in refrigerated and freezer environments
• Early starts and potential for overtime
