Customer Service Operator
- $37.11 per hour casual rate
- Monday to Friday – 8.30am-5.00pm
- 1 hour unpaid lunch break
- Brisbane Airport location
- Must have own vehicle and drivers license
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Operator who can efficiently manage customer import orders, fulfil customer requirements, process importations through internal systems, in conjunction with the Customs Broker, in line with Company processes and in accordance with the Company standards.
This is a great opportunity for an administrative professional who is looking for long term employment opportunities, can roll with the punches and his highly organised when managing multiple tasks.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following key standards:
- Ensure the day-to-day operational tasks within the Customer Service Team are undertaken and completed in line with the business and customer requirements
- Complete end to end customer service functions, including liaison with relevant offices, both locally, Interstate and overseas.
- Deliver the specific goals in relation to customer understanding, value creation, operational excellence, and financial improvement.
- Job registrations and obtaining / preparing necessary documents for Customs clearance, through to delivery of goods to Customers
- Collect relevant charges, invoicing, and job costings
- Monitor cargo availability
- Provide best service to Customs brokers
- Communicate all delays and issues to customers
- Be proficient with all customers’ requirements within the Customer Service Team and be in a position to support operations when team members are absent.
- Approving and processing creditor invoices
- Follow client SOP’s
- Other duties as directed by Customer Service Supervisor and Operations Manager.
- Meet all Quality, Environmental and OH&S criteria and ensure adherence to all requirements and procedures as stipulated in the client manual
- Co-ordinating deliveries of airfreight, LCL and FCL shipments to customers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years industry experience.
- Preferred knowledge of EDI / Cargowise
- Knowledge of freight forwarding, and accountancy practices a distinct advantage.
- Customer services and commercial exposure such as quoting and rate negotiation
- Lean Processes
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation
- Customer Service skills
- Proficiency to a moderate level in Microsoft Word & Excel programs.
