3PL Inventory Controller

• $40.56 per hour inclusive of casual loading
• Monday to Friday – 7.30am-4.30pm
• Must have previous experience with WMS systems

The 3PL Inventory Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management within a third-party logistics (3PL) environment. This role ensures inventory accuracy, efficient stock movement, and alignment with client requirements while maintaining compliance with company processes and service level agreements (SLAs).

Roles and Duties

• Oversee daily inventory operations across multiple clients and product categories.
• Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation.
• Develop and enforce best practices for stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), bin location management, and SKU velocity optimization.
• Manage inventory transfers, adjustments, and write-offs in line with company policy.
• Review and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Ensure all variances are appropriately investigated to determine root cause and rectified within an appropriate time.
• Regularly run reports to analyse compliance and raise non-compliance concerns with key stakeholders.
• Prepare daily /weekly and monthly reports on inventory/order movements and forecast compliance.
• Ensure client KPIs and contractual SLAs are consistently met or exceeded.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for inventory accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure complain with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

POSITION COMPETENCIES & CAPABILITIES:

• Minimum 2-3 years proven experience as an Inventory Controller within a warehouse or 3PL environment.
• Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Proficient in MS Excel and data reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain principles.
