About the Role:
Main Accountabilities
- Work with the Production Manager to deliver on daily and weekly production schedule, achieving optimum production efficiencies and DIFOT.
- Ensure measures are in place for all employees to perform at their best at the start of each shift.
- Ensure that all Operators understand and follow the site SOPs.
- Hold Operators accountable for achieving all quality standards.
- Responsible for maintaining housekeeping standards during their shift.
- Build the capability of the team through monitoring skills, maintaining training schedules and delivering training to the team when needed.
- Actively participate with meaningful feedback at start up and handover time on all production related activity.
- Escalate any issues through the Production Manager to sales and logistics to ensure customer delivery on-time.
- Be an active member of the operations team through open & honest communication.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Ideally have a background in plastics recycling
- Worked in a similar industrial based manufacturing business
- Sound background in managing and leading small teams
- Worked in a 24/5 environment
- Lean manufacturing experience
Accreditation / Qualification Requirements
- Relevant trade background, (e.g. Boilermaker, fitter)
- FLT licence

FOOD PRODUCTION WORKERS

Blow Moulding Technicians
Location: Altona North
Employment Type: 1x day shift position and 1 x Afternoon shift position
We are seeking two (2) experienced Blow Moulding Technician’s to join our clients manufacturing team in permanent roles. These hands-on roles are ideal for a mechanically minded technicians who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

About the Role
As a Blow Moulding Technician, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of blow moulding machinery, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards. You will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to minimise downtime, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor blow moulding machines in line with production schedules and specifications
- Perform machine start-ups, adjustments, and stoppages to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct routine autonomous maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and process faults
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality and customer standards
- Identify, isolate, and rework non-conforming products as required
- Maintain accurate production, downtime, and maintenance records
- Support Die Setters, Process Workers, and Production Leaders to achieve daily production targets
- Handle, blend, and granulate plastic materials in line with manufacturing requirements
- Ensure correct labelling and traceability of finished goods
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with 5S and housekeeping standards
- Train and support junior team members when required
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and quality improvement
About You
- Previous experience in blow moulding or plastics manufacturing (highly regarded)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting ability
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Confident working within automated production environments
- Effective communicator and team player
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends
Qualifications
- Experience as a technician in a plastics manufacturing environment
- Relevant trade qualification advantageous
- Mechanically minded and safety-focused

- A valid Forklift licence – LF
- Proven high reach experience (Crown/Linde)
- Experience moving large quantities of stock around a warehouse
- Be available to start immediately
- The confidence and ability to work unsupervised when needed
- All required PPE – including steel capped boots and high visibility clothing
- A valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment while meeting all OH&S regulations
