About the Role:

Main Accountabilities

  • Work with the Production Manager to deliver on daily and weekly production schedule, achieving optimum production efficiencies and DIFOT.
  • Ensure measures are in place for all employees to perform at their best at the start of each shift.
  • Ensure that all Operators understand and follow the site SOPs.
  • Hold Operators accountable for achieving all quality standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining housekeeping standards during their shift.
  • Build the capability of the team through monitoring skills, maintaining training schedules and delivering training to the team when needed.
  • Actively participate with meaningful feedback at start up and handover time on all production related activity.
  • Escalate any issues through the Production Manager to sales and logistics to ensure customer delivery on-time.
  • Be an active member of the operations team through open & honest communication.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Ideally have a background in plastics recycling
  • Worked in a similar industrial based manufacturing business
  • Sound background in managing and leading small teams
  • Worked in a 24/5 environment
  • Lean manufacturing experience

Accreditation / Qualification Requirements

  • Relevant trade background, (e.g. Boilermaker, fitter)
  • FLT licence

About the Role:

Day Shift: 7am-3pm

Core Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in pick and pack, order processing, or warehouse operations
  • Competent using WMS systems (cloud-based preferred) and handheld scanners
  • Strong attention to detail with a track record of high accuracy in order fulfilment
  • Ability to follow pick slips, batch orders, and SOPs with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with goods receiving, dispatch preparation, and basic inventory control
  • Forklift licence-High reach essential

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand, walk, lift, and move throughout the shift
  • Comfortable handling repetitive manual tasks at a consistent pace
  • Capable of safely lifting up to 15-25 kg when required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Machine Fitter / Mechanical Fitter to join a skilled maintenance team within a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance of fixed plant and mechanical equipment, ensuring plant reliability, safety, and uptime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical plant and machinery
  • Mechanical fault finding and repairs
  • Maintenance of conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Safe isolation of equipment using Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
  • Working in accordance with WHS policies and site procedures
  • Accurate maintenance reporting and effective communication with operations teams

Essential Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

  • Recognised Australian Mechanical Trade Certificate (Cert III Mechanical, Engineering Mechanical Trade, or equivalent)
  • Completed mechanical apprenticeship
  • Proven experience as a Machine Fitter in manufacturing, industrial, or fixed plant environments
  • Strong mechanical fault finding and preventative maintenance skills
  • Current White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Own reliable transport
  • Ability to pass:
    • Police check
    • Pre employment medical
    • Drug and alcohol testing (including random testing)

Highly Desirable (Not Mandatory)

  • Experience in plastic manufacturing environments, including blow moulding, injection moulding, extrusion, or similar machinery
  • Experience working with automated or continuous production equipment
  • High Risk Work Licences (Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Rigging)
  • Experience in continuous or 24 7 operations

  • Working safely around control, instrumentation, and automated systems

Essential Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

  • Current NSW Electrical Licence (or transferable interstate licence)

  • Strong electrical fault finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
