Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
- Safely and efficiently operate front-end loaders to move, load, and stockpile quarried materials.
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials around the site as directed.
- Conduct daily pre-start checks, inspections and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Load trucks and feed processing equipment with material, ensuring production flows smoothly.
Production & Site Duties
- Assist with excavation, material handling, excavation loading, and other quarry tasks.
- Support the team in meeting production targets and quality standards.
- Follow site procedures and safety policies at all times.
Safety & Cleanliness
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, reporting hazards or issues promptly.
- Report any faults or mechanical issues to supervisors.
- Comply with all workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience operating front-end loaders and dump trucks in a quarry, mining, construction or similar environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of quarry operations and materials handling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting targets and quality expectations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety & regulatory compliance.
- Relevant operator tickets/licences (e.g., Heavy Rigid (HR) or plant licences for loaders and dump trucks) are highly desirable.

Duties Include:
Driving & Deliveries

Safely operate a manual MR truck for scheduled pickups and deliveries

Collect used drums and deliver reconditioned drums to customers

Secure loads correctly and comply with all load restraint regulations

Inspect, sort, clean, and refurbish drums to required standards

Use PPE at all times and report any safety concerns or equipment issues

What We’re Looking For

Valid MR (Medium Rigid) Manual Licence

Proven experience driving manual MR trucks and completing deliveries

Experience in drum reconditioning, waste management, or industrial cleaning (highly regarded)

Strong knowledge of load restraint, safe handling, and waste disposal practices

Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks

Able to work in hot, noisy, and physically demanding environments

Safety-focused with great attention to detail

Clean driving record (recent driving history report required)
