LABOURER – DOCKHAND

Day shift: 5am-9am (4hr shift) Rate: $33

Afternoon shift: 4pm-8pm (4hr shfit) Rate: $38

Location 1: Horsley Park

Location 2: Warrick Farm

About the Role

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Dockhands to join a busy freight and logistics operation. This role involves loading and unloading freight, sorting consignments, and ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
• Sort, scan, and label freight accurately.
• Manually handle freight of varying sizes and weights.
• Palletise and wrap freight ready for dispatch.
• Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment (where authorised).
• Ensure freight is stored in the correct locations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Work efficiently to meet daily deadlines and KPIs.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Skills & Experience

• Previous dockhand, freight handling, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling.
• Ability to lift up to 25kg safely.
• Experience using RF scanners is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable with excellent attendance.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Forklift Licence (LF) is advantageous but not essential.

Requirements

• Must be available to work Monday to Friday, with overtime when required.
• Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence preferred.
• Must have full working rights in Australia.
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening if required.
• Must comply with all site safety and PPE requirements.
