Senior HR Business Partner – $160 + super

• Commencing ASAP
• 6-12 month Contract
• $160,000 + super (paid as hourly rate)
• Mascot Location (some flexibility)

Our client is a leading Transport & Logistics business with locations across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland. Due to some internal re-structure and some key upcoming projects, they are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to support the senior leadership team for the next 6-12 months. We’re looking for someone with a strong blue collar background that can hit the ground running. This role will report through to the General Manager of HR.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing strategic HR partnering and workforce solutions to leaders and stakeholders.
• Supporting organisational design activities, workforce planning and position creation.
• Developing and reviewing position descriptions and supporting role redesign initiatives.
• Managing employee relations matters including performance management, investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes.
• Providing industrial relations advice, including interpretation of Awards, Agreements and employment legislation.
• Coaching and advising leaders on effective people management and leadership practices.
• Supporting organisational change initiatives and workforce transitions.
• Leading and supporting recruitment and talent acquisition activities when required.
• Developing HR policies, procedures and people-focused initiatives aligned to organisational objectives.
• Analysing workforce data and trends to support evidence-based decision making.
• Delivering support across the full employee lifecycle from attraction and onboarding through to development, retention and separation.

Required Skills/Qualification

• Previous experience in a Human Resources Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or equivalent role.
• Strong Employee Relations and Industrial Relations capability.
• Blue Collar industry experience, ideally in transport, logistics, warehousing etc
• Experience managing complex workplace matters and investigations.
• Proven experience in organisational design, workforce planning and restructures.
• Experience developing and reviewing position descriptions.
• Sound knowledge of employment legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• Experience supporting leaders through change and workforce challenges.
• A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to contribute across all facets of HR
