Production Manager – ASAP Start

My client is a global manufacturer with operations in over 100 locations around the world. Due to an upcoming project, they are looking to add an experienced Production Manager to the site based in the Albury Area. Looking for a strong leader who can manage a team and drive continuous improvement through the manufacturing process. The role is to start ASAP to get a handover from the incumbent who is moving into the project team.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead by example and drive a culture that ensures compliance with all WHSE regulations and site procedures
  • Oversee all manufacturing activities, ensuring production targets are met.
  • Ensure all products are manufactured to specification and delivered on time, meeting customer and business requirements
  • Build and sustain a culture of continuous improvement, embedding best practices across all areas of responsibility
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 30 direct reports, fostering a high-performing and results-focused culture
  • Manage daily and weekly production schedules to achieve optimum production efficiencies
  • Analyse production costs and implement strategies to improve profitability and reduce waste
  • Monitor and report on operational KPIs, initiating corrective actions via continuous improvement activities

You will ideally have 3-5 years experience in a similar role in production management and leadership, in a manufacturing environment. Other experience you need will include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Science, or Business (advantageous).
  • Formal training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in working within industrial, low margin, high volume businesses
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software systems
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to connect across all levels at site.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid LF Forklift Licence (essential)
