About the Role
Leading manufacturer in the cosmetics and personal care industry, producing and packaging products for some of Australia’s most recognised brands. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Fitter to join our maintenance and production support team.
The Fitter will play a key role in ensuring that all manufacturing and packaging machinery runs efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical fitting, maintenance, and repair work on production and packaging equipment

Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns and optimise machine performance

Troubleshoot and resolve equipment faults quickly to reduce production downtime

Assist with machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers for production runs
-
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
Requirements
-
Trade qualification as a Fitter or Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III or equivalent)

Previous experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment (cosmetics, food, beverage, or pharmaceutical experience highly regarded)

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

Sound mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Flexibility to work shifts, including potential overtime and weekends when required

Freight Handler
📍 Erskine Park
💰 $47.58 per hour
🕓 Start time: 4PM – Finish time varies
About the Role:
We’re currently seeking experienced freight handlers to join a busy logistics operation in Erskine Park. This is a casual ongoing position with the potential for long-term work. The role involves manually loading and unloading trucks with parcels weighing 15kg – 25kg, so you must be physically fit and capable of repetitive heavy lifting throughout your shift.
Shift Info:
- Start time: 4PM (Monday to Friday)
- Finish time: Varies daily based on workload
- Quiet periods: 4-6 hour shifts
- Peak periods: up to 8-10 hour shifts
To be successful, you must:
- Be available Monday to Friday with ongoing availability
- Have freight unloading or heavy labouring experience
- Be able to lift 15kg-25kg repeatedly
- Be physically fit and reliable
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Have a clean criminal history
- Be willing to undergo a medical fitness assessment and a drug & alcohol test at our Labourpower office in Prestons

Labourpower are currently seeking 2 to 3 experienced MIG Welders who know how to get the job done right. If you’ve got solid basic welding skills and are keen for consistent work with early finishes, we want to hear from you!
Our client based in Stapylton, is a leader in manufacturing of pre-cast elements. The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of welding practices and a willingness to learn on the job.
What you’ll be doing:
- Basic MIG welding
- Constructing Rio cages
- Reading and working from basic plans
- Starting 5am daily, finishing between 1-3pm (depending on workload)
- Plenty of overtime available if you want extra hours

- Must have full working rights and availability
- Must have own transport and current drivers license

Pay Rate: Morning Shift 4am starts $37p/h

About the role:
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated individual to join our recycling facility in Smithfield. As a team member, you will start by learning all aspects of the role, including waste sorting, machine operating, and machine troubleshooting. No prior experience is required, but you must be comfortable working in a dirty, fast-paced environment. This role offers a clear path to grow into a team leader position, overseeing the dayshift team. While experience in similar fields like warehousing, labouring, or people management is a plus, it’s not essential. We’re looking for someone committed to building a long-term career with a large national company, not just a job.
To be successful:
- Must be available Monday – Friday, 38hrs minimum
- Must be physically fit and able to lift between 5kg – 25kg repetitively
- Must be prepared to stand for 6 – 8 hours at a time
- Must be comfortable working in hot, wet, and dusty environments
- Must be able to sort through recycling waste (e.g., paper, plastics, aluminium)
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must be available for occasional overtime and weekend work
- Must be able to start ASAP
- Must have reliable transport (limited public transport to site)
- Must be willing to undergo and PASS a drug and alcohol test at our Labourpower Prestons office
- No experience required – Training will be provided
