Reporting to the QLD Logistics Manager, we have an opportunity available for an experience Dispatch Coordinator in Stapylton. The position is responsible for ensuring the effective and accurate management of transport and distribution administration to support the daily operational needs of the business.
Objectives of this Role:
- To support the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics and dispatch operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods and services.
- To assist in ensuring materials, products, or components are delivered on time and in good condition.
- To contribute to the client’s activities and maintain a working knowledge of relevant processes.
- To uphold the client’s values and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Key Result Areas:
Customer Service
- Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support communication between departments, suppliers, and customers to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and promote a positive working environment
Team Support
- Assist the Logistics & Dispatch Team Leader in daily operations.
- Support task coordination and help monitor team performance as required.
Logistics/Dispatch
- Assist with order approvals and fleet allocation under guidance.
- Respond to customer and internal requests in a timely manner.
- Support asset and site coordination for QLD logistics and dispatch.
- Help maintain invoicing accuracy and contribute to freight margin tracking.
Coordination:
- Help organise delivery schedules and optimise routes to reduce time and cost.
- Communicate with internal teams, drivers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Assist in resolving delivery issues and adjusting schedules as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure availability for dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and delivery logs.
- Identify and suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and time management.
- Basic understanding of logistics and dispatch processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively and take direction.
- Experience in logistics, scheduling, or a similar support role preferred.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Exposure to ERP systems or logistics software.
- Certificate or coursework in logistics or supply chain management.
