My client is a Global Freight Forwarder with a standout brand and service across the world. As a leader in the Australasian logistics sector, they are an innovative service provider that embraces collaboration, learning, and development. Due to continuous growth & expansion they are looking to add a Senior Import Operations Specialist to the team based in Eagle Farm. Reporting to the General Manager, you will work in a team with a strong focus on supporting key accounts, and process & compliance excellence.
The Role
Your main responsibilities will include:
- QLD Import Operations (LCL and AIR, with eventual cross-training in other departments), coordinating end-to-end solutions for Key Customers (including bookings, documentation, cartage, customs reporting, job invoicing).
- Liaising with Customers, Carriers, Service Providers, and Overseas Partners.
- Ensuring ongoing Customer satisfaction through effective and efficient responses to customer inquiries, issues, and concerns.
- Establishing and maintaining a strong rapport with customers and service providers.
- Monitoring key operational activities to ensure efficient completion of import duties.
- Identifying and implementing changes to support continual improvement, business growth and the development of best practice SOP.
Your Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in freight forwarding import operations
- Relationship-building skills and strong communication abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail, along with analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Prior experience using CargoWise (CW1) is highly regarded
