Inventory Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Inventory Coordinator to join a Medical Device manufacturing business in Alexandria. Supporting the Warehouse Manager, this role is responsible to assist in leading the logistic team in all aspects of receiving, dispatch and day to day operations of the warehouse.

  • Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.00pm
  • $85,000 per year, plus super
  • $1800 Annual Private Health Allowance
  • ASAP start
  • Full working rights

Responsibilities:

  • Review forecasts and historical usage for inventory ordering
  • Create purchase orders
  • Analyse levels to maintain optimal stock levels, no stock-outs
  • Liaise with global distribution centre to ensure orders are fulfilled on time.
  • Ensure orders are receipted and processed
  • Coordinate stock take/cycle count management
  • Replenish stock holdings for logistics and production
  • Liaise with the internal finance accounts team for invoice receipt
  • Credit returned stock processed and returned to the global distribution centre.
  • Support Logistic function (including Receiving, Packing and Distributing)

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain highly valued
  • 2-3+ year’s experience with inventory control, ordering (supply and demand)
  • Knowledge and operational experience in exposure to different supply chain areas
  • Experience in dealing and working with overseas factories and international freight providers
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel

Logistics Team Leader

Our client is seeking a dedicated, motivated Logistics Team Leader to support the day to operations of a Medical Device business. The purpose of the Logistics Team leader is to support the Operations Manager to drive operational excellence within all aspects of the logistics team functions and thus support sales activities in Australia. To ultimately deliver on our vision: To Lead the world in hearing health and wellness for patient-drive care.. The ideal candidate will possess:

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure a high level of KPI achievement by maintaining synergy, communication and coordination across logistics and between other departments, in alignment with operational strategies to serve our customers better than anyone else.
  • Provide supervision of the Australian facility’s Logistics Team in alignment with polices, operations strategies and defined service metrics.
  • Ensure effective system utilisation, standardisation, maintenance and reporting of customer information within Logistics and across internal stakeholders as necessary and in compliance with data privacy laws.
  • Support the execution of local strategies, to support Operational Excellence with the goal of continuous improvement using lean methodologies.
  • Ensure the Logistics Team’s ongoing compliance to local legislative WHS requirements, through consistent execution of Starkey Australia’s WHS strategies.
  • Facilitate and support ongoing training and development of Logistics Team Members through effective leadership.
  • Day to day co ordination for all Logistics teams tasks are allocated by utilising resources and work flow planning.
  • Facilitate and perform regular stock takes, which from time to time will be conducted outside of normal business hours.
  • As directed support management with annual compliance audits.

Required Skills/Qualification

  • Minimum certificate level in logistics and/or administration
  • Minimum 5 years experience in logistics
  • 3+ years leadership experience of teams larger than 8 people
  • Strong understanding of or ability to rapidly learn Lean methodologies
  • Knowledge of the hearing aid industry or other regulated medical devices – ideal
  • Knowledge of Oracle software (or similar ERP) programs

Labourpower is recruiting for 6 x Counterbalance Forklift Drivers for National Freight Forwarding Depot based in Alexandria

SHIFTS: 5.15am-1.15pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work

12noon-8pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)

Successful applicants will have the following skills:

  • Current LF Forklift licence
  • Experience with counterbalance Forklifts
  • Truck Loading experience
  • RF scanning and picking experience
  • Minimum 1 year warehouse experience
  • Attention to details
  • Sorting, labelling and quality checks
  • Willing to undertake Criminal History Check
  • Willing to undertake Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • Ability to work within a team and follow instructions
  • Basic computer knowledge of WHS and proven track record with safety
