Warehouse Administration Officer – Part Time

  • $34.74 per hour
  • Part time 20 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 12.00pm to 4.00pm (first 2 weeks of training 8am-12pm)
  • Smithfield location
  • Ongoing casual position

Our client is seeking a Warehouse Administrative Assistant on a part time basis, to assist with the daily operational needs of distribution centre. The preferred and successful candidate will have a dynamic “can do ” attitude, work well as part or team while also taking initiative in unsupervised conditions in addition possessing a firm understanding of administration support practices.

The role will require, but is not limited to the following duties:

  • Supply general administrative support to the team
  • Data entry tasks
  • Customer service duties
  • Monitor the front desk/driver window for drop offs and pick ups
  • Highly developed and articulate communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Proficient with MS Office programs

Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • A minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Experience with WMS an advantage but not essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Desire to develop and learn

Warehouse Administration Officer

  • $34.74 per hour casual rate plus afternoon shift loading
  • Commencing as soon as possible
  • Smithfield location
  • Monday to Friday 2pm-10.00pm

We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Administration Officer to assist with the day to day operational needs of our client in Smithfield.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in transport and logistics and be able to demonstrate success as an administrator, be a competent problem solver and strong communicator while displaying strong accuracy and attention to detail. The purpose of this position is to

  • Conduct debriefing & processing of drivers run sheet and paperwork.
  • Assist and encourage the use of Company processes and procedures including Quality systems and risk management framework to ensure major operational standards are effective, efficient and in accordance with standards

Main Responsibilities:

  • Daily customer order entry and processing as per site and contractual requirements
  • Ensuring all orders delivered on any given day are supported by Proof of Delivery (POD) and entered into the Company records
  • Coordination of administration activities to support operational requirements
  • Responding to customer queries and requests as required
  • Weekly reconciliation and processing of invoice activities in accordance with required time frames
  • Provision of customer reports as per contractual requirements
  • Review, confirmation, and authentication of supplier invoices
  • Supporting reconciliation of pallets process
  • Support stocktaking activities
  • Recording customer queries and resolution outcomes
  • Other duties as directed by management

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume processing environment
  • Attention to detail and data entry accuracy
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to provide excellent customer service
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to comply with Company policies, procedures, and applicable legislative requirements

Waste Management Role with National Company – Smithfield

Pay Rate: Morning Shift 4am starts $37p/h

Shift times: Morning shift role – 4am/5am/6am starts

Location: Smithfield, NSW

About the role:

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated individual to join our recycling facility in Smithfield. As a team member, you will start by learning all aspects of the role, including waste sorting, machine operating, and machine troubleshooting. No prior experience is required, but you must be comfortable working in a dirty, fast-paced environment. This role offers a clear path to grow into a team leader position, overseeing the dayshift team. While experience in similar fields like warehousing, labouring, or people management is a plus, it’s not essential. We’re looking for someone committed to building a long-term career with a large national company, not just a job.

To be successful:

  • Must be available Monday – Friday, 38hrs minimum
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift between 5kg – 25kg repetitively
  • Must be prepared to stand for 6 – 8 hours at a time
  • Must be comfortable working in hot, wet, and dusty environments
  • Must be able to sort through recycling waste (e.g., paper, plastics, aluminium)
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be available for occasional overtime and weekend work
  • Must be able to start ASAP
  • Must have reliable transport (limited public transport to site)
  • Must be willing to undergo and PASS a drug and alcohol test at our Labourpower Prestons office
  • No experience required – Training will be provided
