You’ll be responsible for the collection, transportation, and safe disposal of waste and recycling materials from residential, commercial, or industrial sites – ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and in line with environmental regulations.
These positions will be Monday – Friday 8-10hour days starting between the hours of 3-530am.
Responsibilities
- Drive and operate waste collection vehicles Rear and Side load trucks safely and efficiently.
- Collect and transport waste and recyclables from designated routes or customer sites.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Work collaboratively with loaders, supervisors, and other team members.
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
Requirements
- A valid HR Heavy Rigid Licence
- Good knowledge of local routes and road safety regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Previous experience in waste collection, recycling, or logistics is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
- Applicants will need to provide a current RTA driver history printout
- Applicants will need to complete a criminal history check
